The dwarf wood scorpion measures about 22 to 36 mm long. It occurs across a wide area of South-East Asia and the Pacific, including India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Indonesia, Australia and many Pacific islands. Most populations reproduce without males, producing offspring by parthenogenesis.
